Master Project Final

My Master Project at Bournemouth University was based on rigging of a werewolf. I was responsible for modeling, texturing and rigging of the character.
I would like to thank-
Chua Han Xiang who created the animation
Samir Rout provided me with base mesh on which I further built my model
Chitra Saini helped me with lighting and compositing
Dipti Gandhi guided me time to time on rigging issues

  1. Really nice rig.
A couple of comments - a tail makes balancing a lot easier as one has less stability on a smaller toe pad. The foot diameter should also be heavier since you are supporting the full weight on it as well as impact when running on two legs.
    Otherwise I am really impressed.

    1. Cheers Marcwolf on your input. I wish you had come across my blog earlier :) It would have helped me work on my model better. I will definitely keep these things in mind. I felt the same about the foot after my model was completed but I was running late on deadline. I definitely need a tail but I was not sure about the structure of the tail as most werewolf designs I found online has thick tail like a wolf.

  2. *Smiles* Glad I could help. The wolf does not really have a thick tail, just a lot of fluffy padding, and a werewolf would have the same number of vertibre as a real wolf. Nature is funny about things like that *chuckles* even a giraffe has the same number of vertibre as a man. My own hobby is special effects/costuming and I have a passion for werewolves. So I am often looking at ways to duplicate nature into mechanics.
Hopefully we will see each other around on the internet.
    Take care and best wishes.
